There are plenty of coaches, teachers, trainers, gurus, bloggers, social media wizards (whatever you wanna call them) out there that will tell you what you need to do in order for you to succeed…

The problem is, many haven’t done or won’t do the same things they are telling you to do. I personally find it hard to trust someone telling me to do something that they themselves will not do or haven’t done before!
This isn’t me. When I write, when I advise, when I coach, I do so only passing on knowledge or experience that I have been through. How can I help someone transform their body, if I haven’t done it myself? How could I sit here, write this article about how you don’t need to lift weights and you don’t need to go to a gym to get into the shape you’ve always wanted, if I hadn’t done it myself?

I have to admit that when I decided I was going to scrap the gym workouts I had done for 15 or so years I was worried. Would I lose muscle? Would I undo the hard work I had done up until this point? I had doubts, but these doubts were based on myths, so I committed. I committed to the process and I committed to the fact I was going to back myself and my knowledge to go after what I wanted.

I would be a joke or a fraud! I can assure you I’m neither, I’m simply passionate about sharing my knowledge and using it to help people experience the feelings I have experienced. To battle for years and years for the body I wanted and not achieve it! I was working for it, bloody hard too … I went to the gym and lifted weights 6 days a week. I would go for runs, do some sprints here and there – I was in decent shape, but it wasn’t the image I had in my head of how I wanted to look and feel.

My passion behind body weight training stemmed from the freedom it gave me but grew from the results. Not only could I finally see the results I had always wanted, but my body felt better than ever. The niggling injuries were no longer constant, my back (years and years worth of problems and a slipped lower disk) felt like new and my overall flexibility improved without having to actually spend extra time stretching.

My passion to spread the Bodyweight Built movement comes from the fact I genuinely believe that this way of exercising is LIFE-CHANGING! Not having to rely on a gym to exercise is like a weight off your shoulders. No longer do I have to get home from work and drive in peak hour to battle the crowds for equipment. No longer do I sit on the bench press staring out the window looking at the beautiful weather outside – I am there, free!

It’s not just me! Everybody who has joined the Bodyweight Built movement is saying the same thing – the results speak for themselves. People are looking in the mirror and seeing changes they have never seen before, and the best part… It’s a lifestyle! One that fits in with you, not you fitting in with it! You don’t have to love exercise like I do to love Bodyweight Built. This way of training makes you LOVE exercise, because in some strange way, it doesn’t feel like exercise… at least not the traditional, boring, monotonous type that comes to mind when we hear that word. There is another way and I’m here to show you, offer you value, teach you and watch you transform!
